Today is Independence Day for Americans which is the day when Americans all over the world hold parades, carnivals, picnics, concerts, fireworks, barbecues, and family reunions.

It is all in celebration commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 by the Continental Congress declairing the thirteen American Colonies no longer regarded themselves as a part of the British Empire but as a new nation to be known as the United States of America. It is a National Holiday for all Americans.
